John is married to his highschool sweetheart, Susette. They first met in the hallway before their respective "second hour" foreign language classes. After dating for some time, they married in the fall of 1982. They have three grown children, son-Andrew, son-John III (married to Camille), and daughter-Elyse (married to Matt Pirrone). In recent years, they have transitioned into a new and exciting part of their lives - grandparenting! Both John and Susette ("Gampy and "Googa") are "over the moon" for Frankie (5), Isaac (4), Johnny IV (2), and their latest edition, Baby Emily (3 mos.)! (Hoping for more!) All of the men enjoy power-lifting (weights) together and rooting for the Michigan Wolverines - especially in football! 

John has been a small business owner in Metro Detroit since 1997. Susette has taught Kindergarten and Pre-School, almost continuously, since high school. They have both been very active in their local church for nearly five decades. John has held many positions in his local church from Sunday School Superintendent to Elder/Deacon to Board Chairman to Worship Director to Choirmaster, in addition to serving on various committees. 

John attended one year of Bible Institute after high school (where he met life-long friend and Co-Pastor, Gary Lounsberry) before finishing his education at the University of Michigan, but his real-life ministry training came from the example of his own father who was his Pastor for most of John's life. Like his father before him, John has a passion to study and teach the Word with a strong emphasis on doctrine and prophecy.
